Persimmon Trees - Weeping (Astringent) #5 Pot

The Weeping astringent persimmon is a very rare variety of Japanese persimmon. It has a weeping form and must be staked up when young.  The weeping persimmon produces a medium sized, conical shaped fruit that hang off the tree like teardrops. This astringent persimmon ripens in late October through mid November. If staked, it can reach a height of 6’ tall and 2’ wide in 10 years. We graft the Weeping persimmon onto native American persimmon root stock.
