Apple Trees - Winesap #5 Pot
Winesap Apple trees ripen in late fall and produce large, bright red fruit with yellow flesh. The fruit's tangy taste is perfect for eating fresh or for canning, and Winesap apples store well so they can be enjoyed long after they have ripened. The tree requires 800 chill hours. It is a triploid variety and need 2 pollination partners which both must be of different varieties, such as Fuji, Golden Delicious, Granny Smith, McIntosh with which to pollinate. For planting, apple trees prefer full sun and moist, well-drained soil. At maturity, the Winesap Apple can reach a height and width of 10-25 feet.
USDA ZONES: Zone 4, Zone 5, Zone 6, Zone 7.
